Can I use data attributes in MarkDown?

I'm using the Bones Foundation 6 theme and it has a nice solution for creating Foundation columns, however I want to use https://foundation.zurb.com/sites/docs/equalizer.html the Equalizer to match heights of the columns but that requires adding data attributes (data-equalizer and data-equalizer-watch) can I add them to the columns in MarkDown or will I have to resort to plain ol' HTML?

Thanks in advance

I think you must either insert HTML directly, or create a Twig structure in your theme that builds the table picking data from the page header. But in that case, it's hard to put the table in the middle of the page, for example.

I'll just stick to HTML then thanks.
