Hi All

We would like to add an FAQ to pages but having all the copy on the page always viable adds too much visible content to the page.

hoping to get some advise on creating a hidden text area that when clicked on an anchor link/ button it slides to reveal the content.

I haven't been able to find any plugins that exist but maybe i'm looking for the wrong wording of the feature.

any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

You can use the Shortcode UI Plugin, which provides Tabs and Accordion Shortcodes. In fact Accordion is exactly what you are looking for:
