User Accounts Linked To Folders

A friend showed me Grav and I'm starting to look at it as solution for a private clients gallery for photos and other files. Ideally, it would be nice if each user had their own media folder that I could ftp subfolders from projects or shoots to. Has anyone done something similar? Would Grav work well for this?

This is pretty standard and exactly how Grav works with images. Just create a folder with a markdown file for each user, and then upload images into that folder.
