Search with pagination

I'm working for a new website with simplesearch and pagination plugin. They work fine while they are alone. But if I want a search page with pagination then the plugin doesn't work.

I tried to look at the source pagination.php but the event onCollectionProcessed seems to be never triggered. What do you suggest to make it work with simplesearch?

Simplesearch does not currently have any support for pagination.
