[RuntimeException] Error while trying to download

Hello everyone, i am trying to install plugins and i have been getting "[RuntimeException]
Error while trying to download" for each and every plugin i try to download.
I am running xamp on windows 7 and i have enabled "php_openssl.dll" extension and i have restarted xamp.
Still no luck, What gives?
Does anyone know how to fix this??

What's the runtime exception you are seeing? It should output more details. Perhaps check the PHP error log?

Hello Rhukster, I attempted to install aboutme plugin for example and now i am getting this error: $ bin/gpm install aboutme

[RuntimeException]
GPM not reachable. Please check your internet connection or check the Grav
site is reachable.

Hello, i am using Xamp and Curl and OpenSSL are enabled. I am running windows 7.
There are no proxies in my connection. The user issue seems to be irrelevant.
The error continues to show up in Git Bash and in the admin page.

GPM not reachable. Please check your internet connection or check the Grav
site is reachable

Is there any other thing that might be causing this error???

I installed a fresh copy of Grav in another folder and it seems to be working with git bash now. If anything wrong shows up i will let you know.
