Popularity logs git conflict issues

Hi, I'm having git conflict issues with the popularity logs - I have 3 git locations for the 1 site and everytime I commit, pull, push etc I can't auto merge cause of these logs. Ideally I'd like the logs to only be running on my live environment and not on my 2 dev environments. This would also solve my git conflict issue - is there a way to overcome this?

Nevermind I realised the logs folder is supposed to be gitignored... it is in the default gitignore file so nfi why it didn't ignore it.
