Image names via form

Im building a theme with an array of images within a page. Im creating the image array via the File Form and I'm pulling the img.name for a caption. I have been checking the docs but found no way to set the name attribute for each file individually via a Form option. At the moment I'm doing it manually in the YAML but thats not very client-friendly. Any ideas?
