Sorry for the newbee question, but I have just installed grav+admin plugin and would like to create a site using one of the skeletons provided in the downloads page. Where should I place the downloaded skeleton folder so that I can access it via the admin plugin?

Download the skeleton from https://getgrav.org/downloads/skeletons and install the Admin plugin

Yes because the admin is just a plugin, and currently the skeletons are not provided with Admin preinstalled.
