Where may I obtain the update package of the latest RC to perform a manual update?
I do not wish to overwrite current pages.

The one you want is: https://github.com/getgrav/grav/releases/download/1.0.0-rc.6/grav-update-v1.0.0-rc.6.zip as current RC6 is the lastest release.
