Tailing slash problem on root urls Multilanguage

Good afternoon,

I am having a problem with the tailing slash on the route URLs.
Everywhere else, tailing slashes are being removed (redirected to the URL without slash).

Just for the ones that are on the home page - it does not work:
e.g. domain.com/en

For any other one, such as domain.com/en/path it works well.

I somehow tend to think it is related to the language switch plugin I am using. Is it capable of handling the tailing slash thing?

Any help?
