Replacement of plugin recent_posts

Hi,

I've upgraded to grav 2.* quite flawlessly, thank You guys. One point left: I'v used the recent_post Plugin, to display the latest blog-entries on the homepage. The plugin doesn't work anymore (as mentioned, and I'm aware of the change). My question ist: How do I get a similiar result, which means displaying some kind of teaser with image on the Homepage?

Even though recent_posts is quite old, it's also quite simple. I suggest trying a direct install and see if it works.. I think you will find it works just fine. The author has just not tested and validated it himself. If you can test it and validate it, I can add it to the list of curated plugins so that it will migrate just fine for the next person.

@hannsmattes, Would you mind sharing the results of trying the direct install? Others might benefit from your experience.
