  It is a standard extension, but seems Ampps doesn't enable it by default for some reason. Just enable it from the Ampps config: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/24867361/problems-with-ampps

  Hi Steve, ctype_digit is a PHP native function, but you seem to miss the PHP ctype extension.

  Yah, was going to say it should be installed as part of PHP as you have to go out of your way to disable it. Seems you are using Ammps which is the only place I have ever seen it disabled/missing.
