Page buttons stopped working in blog skelton

I am not sure what happened but after the latest upgrade to Grav.
the page buttons return a 404 instead of 2nd page.
the urls are now:
domain_name/domain_name/page:1
domain_name/domain_name/page:2
when they should be
//domain_name/page:1
//domain_name/page:2

Any ideas how to fix this would be appreciated.

Up date I have managed to get page2 working with an alias.
I have checked the code of the page and it correct. so it is the on click event that is giving the wrong url.
Could someone guide me to writing an alias to get back to the home page as I have tried:
/blog
/home
/
All still give me a 404 error.
