Language prefix before subdomain in url

Thank you for your wonderful product, I really love it.

I have a multi-site (in EN and DE) working fine. However, in some instances, the language prefix pops up before the sub-directory in which the website is installed, which causes an error.

For example, if I turn on/off a plugin I get redirected to: http://[domain.com]/de/[sub-directory]/admin/plugins instead of http://[domain.com]/[sub-directory]/de/admin/plugins.

I searched for the solution all day but did not manage to find one and, therefore, a little help would be very welcome

You should set the base url in the settings and ensure that the subdir is configured correctly in your .htaccess file.
