Grav 2.0 update and incompatible themes

I just upgraded my site to 2.0.9 on a testing instance, and everything worked perfectly. I'm very impressed with the whole process. Great work!

I'm using the Hypertext theme, and when I upgraded I saw a note that this was an incompatible theme. I thought that I selected the "skip theme and install clean" option (I don't remember the exact wording), but when I upgraded the Hypertext theme was installed and everything looks exactly as it did before the upgrade. The Hypertext configuration settings are all available in the admin panel and all my settings were carried over.

My question is: should I be looking for a new theme, since the upgrade flagged Hypertext as incompatible? Even though it seems to be working now, is it possible that a future upgrade will break the theme?

If it's working then there's no major issue.. A theme is pretty generic and if it's been written well for 1.7 it should work fine for Grav 2.0. I would love theme providers to at least test their themes and mark them as compatible, but 3rd party developers seem a bit slow on the uptake.
